Hoot and AIM (Artists in Mind) are working together to deliver a range of creative arts projects to enhance the health and wellbeing of people who experience, or are at risk of experiencing, mental health difficulties. All groups and activities are delivered by experienced artists and are free. No experience needed. The current programme includes:
Hot drumming and percussion for all in a friendly, supportive space. Guaranteed to get your feet tapping and your soul singing
A regular session for anyone who wants to get involved in music. All instruments provided
Friday morning 10-12, Textile Hall, Hick Lane, Batley WF17 6HW
Absolute beginners to Clapton, all welcome. Simple parts, medium parts, hard parts, all woven together to make a glorious wash of sound. The twang’s the thang. Bring your guitar if you have one. Limited number of guitar lessons available on request. Open to all.

Dance the world with sessions in African, Bollywood and Ceilidh dance – good for body, mind and soul! Summer Ceilidh party to follow.
No experience needed. Wear loose comfortable clothing.

Write, record and produce your own music with personal assistance from our studio team. The smallest idea can be a beautiful thing. No experience needed. All instruments and equipment provided.

Try your hand at drawing, printing, sculpting, painting, banner work and a range of exciting creative taster sessions
A series of five linked visual arts workshops gently introducing different techniques; you will learn some skills and have lots of fun. No previous experience required.
Dedicated personal studio space, provision of art materials and support for your own artistic development by a mentor who is a practicing artist.
