WHAT'S ON - to make you feel good

OUT OF THE BLUE...

Hoot and AIM (Artists in Mind) are working together to deliver a range of creative arts projects to enhance the health and wellbeing of people who experience, or are at risk of experiencing, mental health difficulties. All groups and activities are delivered by experienced artists and are free. No experience needed.

Making referrals

You can refer people to any of the Out of the Blue activities by filling in the "Participant Information Form" (PIF) and returning it to the Out of the Blue Project c/o Hoot. Participants can self-refer. We will contact you or the participant on receipt of the PIF. Alternatively people are still welcome to turn up on the day. Please can you make sure that forms are filled in on both sides so that we have all the information we need.

Music, Dance & Digital Arts with Hoot

Sonic

Explorations in music and film/animation, plugged and unplugged sound, composition and experimentation

Tuesdays 2:00-4:00pm, Out Of The Blue Creative Space, Hoot, Bates Mill, Huddersfield, HD1 3DX

Hoot Studio

Write, record and produce your own music with personal assistance from our studio team. The smallest idea can be a beautiful thing. No experience needed. All instruments and equipment provided.

Tuesday 1pm & 3pm and Thursday 10:30am at Hoot, Bates Mill, Huddersfield, HD1 3DX. Call to book.

Stretch Yourself

A chance to dance in a friendly and encouraging group. Find your feet and your dancing self. Anything is possible.

Wednesdays 2-4pm, Out of the Blue Creative Space, Hoot, Bates Mill, Huddersfield, HD1 3DX

Guitar Orchestra

Collaborations and improvisations between guitars and voices. Open guitar and vocal group for players and singers of all abilities. Bring your guitar if you have one. Limited number of guitar lessons available on request. Open to all.

Piano Phasing

Running in partnership with the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival (hcmf) education and outreach programme, these beginners' creative keyboard workshops offer an open, fun and inclusive approach with added challenge and experimentation.

Another Planet

Drum, sing, play music in a friendly and supportive group. Guaranteed to get your feet tapping and your soul singing. A regular session for anyone who wants to get involved in music. All instruments provided.

Out of the Blue 2

The Out Of The Blue 2 programme will commence from the 7th June. We have lots of fun and interesting creative adventures planned, from Imaginative writing and singing to having a good old strum on the Ukelele. All projects take place at The Textile Hall, Hick Lane, Batley, WH17 6HW. There will be a small voluntary charge of £2.00 per session.
